A small place
for big days.
Somewhere to plan your day. Or just take a break from it.
Sandy Truong and Daniel Lam created Dreamers as a welcoming sanctuary for the neighborhood. Prior to opening the café in January 2020, they worked together for years with Chinatown seniors at a local senior center, witnessing firsthand how newer hipster spots could leave older residents feeling disconnected.
So they built Dreamers differently: rooted in intergenerational hospitality, sourcing from nearby Chinatown markets, displaying local indie zines, and making space where grandmas, students, artists, and neighborhood workers gather side by side.
